Make an Appointment – Front Door for Families

Front Door for Families is a program of Mendocino County Social Services. We provide guidance to Mendocino County families with children who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. We help by providing:

Guidance on where to look for housing.
Help with developing your housing sustainability plan.
Submission of financial support requests for housing deposits, first month’s rent, and eviction prevention.

We do not have our own housing supply or provide emergency housing.
We do not provide ongoing financial assistance.
We do not have any hotel vouchers.

Yes

Front Door for Families services are only available to Mendocino County families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.

If you have low or no income, you may qualify for subsidized housing. View a list of subsidized apartments with contact information.

If you are looking for market-rate housing, these rental agencies are located in Mendocino County and have their own rental application approval processes.

If you are a senior adult, contact yourlocal Senior Center to ask about housing navigation services.
